  • Smedberg’s Got Talent is just around the corner!!! Come watch and support your talented Smeddy Friends Friday, November 4th at 6:30 pm here in our very own MP room. • Attention all Smedberg students! On Wednesday, November 2nd, our school will be having a student mock election. You are going to be able to share your voice by voting here at school. Just like your family members that are over 18, you will be able to vote for the President of the United States, California’s US Senator, and 7 of the 17 propositions on this year’s ballot in California. All you have to do is go to room E-11 during your lunch and vote. You will even get the famous “I Voted Stickers”. During the next few days in advisory your teachers will be going over the propositions with you so that you can make an informed decision on how to vote on the 2nd. We will count your votes and see how you did compared to the general election results. So, remember, to get out and rock the vote on November 2nd!
  • Last week was the fundraiser assembly. Remember that you can turn in your orders to the student store on Tuesdays and Thursdays before school, during lunch or after school. Today is a turn in date and you still have three more turn in dates. There are more packets in the office and student store.
  • Attention 8th grade students applying for a Sheldon academy.  If you need a transcript you come to the front office and sign up for one.  Transcripts will be available the next day in the front office.

All parents, students, teachers, administrators, and other community members are invited to preview the grades 7-12 English / Language Arts core instructional materials currently being piloted in classrooms throughout the Elk Grove Unified School District—SpringBoard (publisher: College Board) and Collections (publisher: Houghton Mifflin Harcourt).
